The North Alabama Emergency Medicine Fellowship provides a unique opportunity for primary care physicians to become
board certified in emergency medicine. The program is recognized by the American Academy of Emergency Physicians. Highlights :
impact topics to prepare them for EM Boards and future careers as EM physicians capable of working at any emergency room in the country.
ortho and splinting course, dental emergency course, and multiple ultrasound courses to name a few.
at a large firearms center, a NASCAR Experience at the Talledega Speedway to learn about MVAs and traumas; a Snake Bite Symposium
taught by wilderness medicine experts at the Birmingham Zoo, and multiple EMS and critical care ride-alongs, just to name a few. The
curriculum also includes instruction on essential emergency medicine procedures, airway management, and ED bedside ultrasound.
