Job Details

Responsibilities :

Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
Oversee the production of monthly reports including reconciliations with funders and pension plan, as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by Executive management.
Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
Communicate financial metrics and business drivers to stakeholders.
Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets to monitor progress and present operational metrics.
Ensure compliance with the local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, department budgets, salary updates, ledger, and account maintenance and data entry.
Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns.
Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.
Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is required. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success.

Thorough knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation, and understanding of P&L statements.

Strong experience in the audit process and account reconciliation.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, and with financial reporting software.

Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
