Technical Writer

Overview

Laborie Medical Technologies is currently seeking a Technical Writer to assist in maintaining optimal Technical Documentation Group (TDG) processes, implement project-specific strategies, and assist with the development and implementation of department strategies to increase productivity and quality. This position will participate on cross-functional project teams through researching, planning, organizing, and developing technical product literature (such as User and Service Manuals, IFUs, and Quick Start Guides) for Laborie Capital Equipment systems.

How You Contribute

• Provide consultation on publication projects.
• Review technical literature prepared by other staff members for content, coverage, and clarity.
• Research products by studying the product specifications, interviewing subject matter experts, and using prototype hardware and software.
• Plan, write, and edit the development of capital equipment product literature in the appropriate timeframes for product launch and in compliance with company operating procedures and work instructions.
• Edit documents, making technical and stylistically appropriate modifications.
• Collaborate with development engineering, marketing, regulatory affairs, and clinical engineering personnel, among others, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
