Operations Manager - Madison, WI

Key Responsibilities :

  • Partner with the GM and AGM to align on goals, priorities, and performance updates.
  • Lead and motivate team members across multiple departments with clarity and energy.
  • Conduct and oversee pre-shift meetings and staff orientations.
  • Support scheduling, training, and mentorship for new hires.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that lives our mission to Create Memorable Experiences Every Guest, Every Visit.
  • Monitor department performance, address issues quickly, and celebrate wins.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Amusement Manager on arcade and attraction operations.
  • Support promotions, leagues, and special events.
  • Oversee guest service touchpoints, both in-person and over the phone, delivering friendly, accurate information.
  • Confidently operate the POS system for transactions, reports, and guest support.
  • Respond promptly to guest needs, rule violations, or safety concerns, using strong judgment and professionalism.
  • Assist with inventory, supply management, and equipment maintenance.
  • Promote Spare Time's features and upcoming events to keep guests engaged.
  • Enforce safety standards, complete incident reports, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Lead by example in professionalism, communication, and service.

What You'll Bring :

  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of guest service experience and 24 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with technology systems.
  • A positive attitude, steady energy, and a knack for building team morale.
  • Work Environment :

  • Fast-paced, fun-filled setting with large crowds, children, and exciting lighting effects (lasers, strobes, etc.).
  • Expect plenty of movement : standing and walking for long periods and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are part of the experience.
