Job Description
The nurse in this role practices independently, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. They provide routine and complex care, with the ability to achieve long-range goals or plans.
This position requires a competent nurse who can cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. The ideal candidate will continue to develop their skills and knowledge to meet the needs of patients and families.
Nursing Practice
Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness.
Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
Position Requirements
Newly hired RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire.
Initial on-boarding requirements are validated through successful completion of designated organizational entry competency validation and a Critical Care Department-specific competency validation.
Annual competency verification is required.
