Sandstone Estates is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled and supportive rehabilitation team. If you’re passionate about helping others regain strength and mobility in a post-acute or long-term care setting, we’d love to meet you.
Position Summary
The PTA works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, individualized care. You’ll play a critical role in helping residents improve their physical function, mobility, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver treatment sessions as outlined in the care plan, including strength and mobility training, gait and balance work, transfer training, and therapeutic modalities.
Monitor and report resident progress, reactions, and needs to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Ensure treatments align with state regulations, payer guidelines, and departmental policies.
Assist with developing, adjusting, and coordinating therapy schedules in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Maintain accurate , timely documentation of treatments and outcomes in accordance with facility standards.
Requirements
Education : Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Licensure : Current Arizona state licensure as a PTA.
Certifications : CPR certification and Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Experience : Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred but not required .
