Job Summary :
White's Site Development, Inc. is seeking skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team.
The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery for site development projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to project specifications.
Responsibilities :
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, graders, skid steers, and rollers for tasks including land clearing, excavation, grading, and roadway construction.
Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on equipment.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel.
Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and other project documents to ensure accurate execution of work.
Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and other team members to ensure project goals are met.
Maintain accurate daily logs of work performed and equipment hours.
Troubleshoot and address minor equipment issues, reporting major issues to maintenance personnel.
Ensure proper care and security of all equipment and tools.
Participate in jobsite safety meetings.
Qualifications :
Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a site development or construction environment.
Strong understanding of excavation, grading, and land clearing techniques.
Ability to operate a variety of heavy machinery with precision and efficiency.
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications :
Certification in heavy equipment operation.
Experience with specific types of equipment, such as SANY ST230V Skid Steer.
Familiarity with local Florida utility standards and permitting processes.
