Eventscape has an exciting opportunity for an experienced  Carpenter (Custom Millwork Fabricator)  to join our woodshop. The ideal candidate will be an elite craftsperson and natural leader, with experience with all aspects of architectural millwork fabrication and familiarity with a variety of materials.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The custom millwork fabricator position will :

• manufacture and assemble high-quality custom architectural elements and structures
• read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications
• determine tolerances and test project elements
• operate all woodworking machinery, finishing equipment, power tools, and hand tools
• work with different materials, including solid surfaces, epoxy, metals, melamine, solid wood, wood products
• perform exact measurements, ensure precise installation of hardware and other elements
• perform wood finishing, sanding, staining, and applying finishes
• monitor quality across the team and ensure each piece is fabricated to a high standard
• plan and execute fabrication strategies; oversee and manage junior fabricators and assistants
• manage schedules to meet deadlines and provide consistent, regular project updates to management
• maintain awareness of inventory and requirements for upcoming projects
• ensure safe work practices are adhered to and follow all safety policies and procedures
• maintain a clean and tidy work area and facilitate required repairs and maintenance to all equipment
