Our solutions team is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst (Residuals) to join our team in support of our global Media & Entertainment client with exciting projects focused on Residuals payments. You'll need to have experience with Residuals processing and understand the nuance and needs of these complex systems. Our project will be pivotal in supporting and enhancing complex Residuals systems that manage payments to talent, directors, writers, and guilds for television, film, and streaming content across domestic and international markets. Our ideal person will possess deep knowledge of union and guild agreements (e.g., SAG-AFTRA, WGA, DGA), residuals payment structures, and the technical acumen to configure, support, and optimize IT systems. This consultant will work closely with business stakeholders to translate intricate contractual requirements into system logic, ensuring accurate and timely residuals calculations and integrations with payroll, pensions, and benefits systems.

This position must be worked onsite in a hybrid schedule in the Greater Los Angeles area (close to Hollywood) or New York City (Manhattan), requiring the work to be done onsite 2-3 days / week. Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain Residuals IT systems to support complex contractual logic and union / guild rules.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and system configurations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate interpretation of residuals contracts across various markets and platforms.
  • Support integrations with third-party payroll providers and pension, health, and welfare systems.
  • Analyze and validate residuals data, calculations, and payment outputs.
  • Migrate and ingest contracts across different "Made for" types (e.g. television, theatrical, streaming, etc.)
  • Lead and support end-to-end project lifecycles, including planning, execution, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain SQL scripts and data staging processes for residuals reporting and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing support for residuals operations.
  • Stay current with union / guild agreement updates and ensure system compliance.
  • Provide cross-functional support across multiple residuals projects and initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience working with Residuals systems and processing in the Media & Entertainment industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of union and guild agreements (SAG-AFTRA, WGA, DGA, etc.).
  • Experience with residuals payment structures (e.g., royalties, episode-based, backend).
  • Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and working with relational databases.
  • Experience with system configuration, data configurations, and rules-based engines.
  • Familiarity with third-party payroll and benefits integrations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Project management experience with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Additional Details

    The base range for this contract position is $50.00 - 65.00 / per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
