Import Operations Agent

Desired qualifications :

• 5 years’ experience running an import desk
• High level of Customer Service skills and experience
• Understands the Customs Brokerage process and duty implications
• Clear view and understanding of INCO Terms
• Clear view and understanding of HS codes
• Understands LFD
• Good at dispatching trucks for dray moves
• Professional written communication skills
• Professional verbal communication skills
• Experience handling arrival notices (in bound and out bound)
• Understands the freight payment process
• Can calculate payables and receivables to balance operations files
• Excellent at preventing demurrage and detention fees and charges
• Excellent problem solver when things do no go just right
