American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with expertise in cardiac, vascular, or general ultrasound and relevant certifications for a weekday position.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital imaging department with a focus on cardiac, vascular, and general ultrasoundPosition is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, with no call requirementsCaseload includes adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients, with procedures in OBGYN and breast imagingRequired to float within competency to meet departmental needsWill need to pick up one additional shift per schedule period as neededUses Epic EMR system, with training provided during orientation or test-out optionPerforms complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to protocols for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseaseParticipates in mentoring and training new staff and sonography studentsExpected to maintain and update professional knowledge regarding ultrasound modalities and techniquesMay be required to cover weekends, holidays, and must work at least two major holidaysNo local candidates accepted; must live more than 60 miles from the facilityNo blocked scheduling allowed; all time off must be pre-approved and RTO will not be extended at contract endDress code requires professional attire appropriate for ultrasound technologists\n \n Requirements\n
Active registry with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (e.g., RCS, RVS) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (e.g., RDMS, RVT, RDCS)Must hold active registries in both cardiac and vascular ultrasound, or general and vascular ultrasoundCPR certification upon hire and AHA BLS within 60 days of hireMinimum of 2 years clinical experience in ultrasound, including OBGYN and at least 2 years of breast ultrasound experienceExperience operating sophisticated ultrasound imaging equipmentLicense required if applicableEpic EMR experience preferred but not required\n Benefits\n
