is seeking a dedicated and compassionate

Mental Health Counselor

to join our team in a

long-term residential care setting

. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about supporting adults with chronic mental illness in a structured, therapeutic, home-like environment.

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will provide

clinical support, counseling, and care coordination

to residents, helping them build coping skills, manage their mental health, and live more independently.

Responsibilities

Deliver

individual and group counseling sessions

to adult residents

Conduct

psychosocial assessments

and develop individualized treatment plans

Provide

crisis intervention

, emotional support, and behavioral strategies

Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers

Facilitate psychoeducational groups and life skills workshops

Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards

Support residents in achieving recovery goals within a long-term care model

Mental Health Counselor

Qualifications

Masters degree

in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field

Licensed or license-eligible

in New York State (LMHC, LMSW, LCSW preferred)

Previous experience in

residential, inpatient, or long-term mental health settings

is highly desirable

Schedule & Compensation

Schedule :

Monday through Friday,

9 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM

(no nights, weekends, or holidays)

Pay Rate :

$40$45 per hour, based on experience and credentials
