The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing all activities in the Service Department, including supervising Service Technicians and the Inside Sales Representative, fielding service calls and emails, and coordinating service requests with the support of the Inside Sales Representative.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate all service calls.
- Open, post, and close all SROs (Service Repair Orders) with the assistance of the Inside Sales Representative
- Record and track all technicians' hours with an 80-85% billable hours target.
- Submit warranty claims with follow-up to ensure the factory pays claims.
- Responsible for all shipping and receiving duties.
- Maintain and adhere to the Shop Expense budget
- Promote and grow the Service Department's revenue and profitability
- Adhere to all Safety, DOT, SOX, and other regulated policies & procedures
- Maintain the Service Truck fleet.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Job Requirements
High School diploma and / or equivalent in work experienceExcellent interpersonal skills, proficient in oral and written communicationsAssembly experience preferred but not requiredBasic reading skills.
