The Role
Reporting to the Operations Team Lead and / or Department Manager, you will run, maintain, and troubleshoot high-speed equipment that produces metal food packaging. You’ll blend hands-on mechanical work with precision operation to keep our lines at peak performance.
A day in the life
- Own advanced line operations—independently troubleshoot, execute machine interventions and changeovers, and perform mechanical maintenance.
- Complete daily / department safety checks to reinforce safe behaviors and eliminate hazards.
- Perform required quality inspections and documentation to meet all customer specifications.
- Handle daily care, preventive / predictive maintenance work orders, and breakdown repairs.
- Support Advanced Operator Technicians with equipment installations, replacements, and mechanical improvements.
- Maintain and elevate Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence programs.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as assigned.
- Operate forklifts and move materials as needed.
- Quickly process hold material, including sorting and inspection.
- Receive, store, and maintain inventory of process chemicals used in metal food packaging.
- Keep work areas clean and organized through strong housekeeping and 5S.
- Follow Food Safety Policy, GMPs, HACCP principles, and applicable Food Safety Standards.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
