Overview
Building Custodial & Set-up role at FirstService Residential. Under the direction of the Building Services Supervisor, this position serves as Building Services Associate for the Community Association at Sun City Huntley. Responsibilities include performing custodial and room meeting set-up duties, with first and second shift rotation to include some weekends and holidays to meet the department's goals.
Responsibilities
- Set-up and breakdown of daily events for CAM and other sponsored functions, and provide custodial services for the Prairie Lodge Recreation Center, Fountain View Center, Meadow View Lodge and other facilities, including activity rooms, ballroom, lounges, restrooms, pools and other facilities.
- Collaborate with other Building Services Associates to cover cleaning services and area coverage, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Assist to ensure functions and events have proper coverage; flexible to cover time off as needed.
- Provide communication to the Building Services Supervisor and the Facilities Manager regarding building concerns related to cleaning or scheduled functions.
- Custodial tasks include cleaning floors (vinyl, carpet, wood), windows, lavatories, shower / locker facilities, trash removal, dusting furniture; outdoor tasks include trash receptacles, cleaning water fountains, and outdoor furniture.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
- Set up AV equipment as needed.
Experience / Education and Knowledge / Training
High school graduate or its equivalency preferredBasic computer skills requiredPrior janitorial / custodial experienceMust have a valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle and be insurable if necessarySpecial Requirements / Knowledge / Training
