Overview

RedStream Technology is seeking a Copy Editor / Proofreader to assist the web production team managing a digital journal for a global management consulting firm. The Proofreader supports the creation and publication of knowledge on the website of a leading professional-services firm, as well as its dissemination via associated e-mailings and a mobile application. This role will ensure all digital assets are proofed, formatted properly, adhere to style guidelines, and support optimal user experience. He or she will assist in tracking assets and providing project management support for digital and mobile special projects.

Note : This is a remote contract role with East Coast hours.

Responsibilities

• Proofread content, provide a comparative proof upon layout, and approve all new material (text articles, exhibits, infographics, videos, interactive features, and other multimedia) posted to the client website
• Proof and approve content on the iOS and Android app
• Proof and approve e-mailings promoting new content
• Coordinate with web production staff and, using the content-management system as needed, correct errors until final approval of all assets is secured
• For issues requiring editorial and / or design judgment, coordinate with editors, designers, and web production staff to arrive at optimal solution and implement
• Track and communicate progress of work, and identify and problem-solve any roadblocks to successful, on-deadline task completion
• For select content, provide SEO tags, copyedit, fact-check, and internally syndicate articles
• Assist in tracking and communicating the status of digital assets and resolving delays
• Provide project-management support for special projects such as e-mail testing or content migration
