We are seeking an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to join a team of outstanding female OBGYNs. Since 1991, the practice has been providing quality gynecologic and obstetric care to the women of Tulsa and surrounding areas.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women's Health Nurse PractitionerCurrent and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the stateBoard certification as a Women's Health Nurse PractitionerProven clinical experience in women's health, preferably in a primary care or OBGYN settingStrong knowledge of women's health issues, including gynecology, reproductive health, prenatal care, and menopausal managementProficiency in performing gynecological exams, Pap smears, and other women's health screeningsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered careDedication to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standardsAbility to work collaboratively in a team-based environmentStrong organizational and time management skillsBenefits

Conducting comprehensive women's health assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and screeningsDiagnosing and treating common women's health conditions, such as reproductive health issues, gynecological infections, menstrual disorders, and menopausal symptomsProviding family planning services, including contraceptive counseling, prescribing and fitting contraceptives, and educating patients about reproductive healthPerforming routine gynecological exams, Pap smears, breast exams, and other screeningsManaging prenatal care for expectant mothers, including prenatal visits, monitoring fetal development, and providing education on pregnancy and childbirthCollaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal care for pregnant womenProviding counseling and education on sexual and reproductive health, including STD prevention, fertility awareness, and preconception careOrdering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as ultrasounds and laboratory tests, and developing appropriate treatment plans based on resultsPrescribing medications and providing follow-up care, monitoring treatment effectiveness and managing side effectsEducating patients about women's health issues, self-care practices, and preventive measuresDocumenting patient encounters accurately and efficiently in electronic health record (EHR) systemsStaying updated with the latest advancements and research in women's health through continuing education and professional development activitiesDiagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team. May focus on health promotion and disease prevention. May order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x rays. May prescribe medication. Must be registered nurses who have specialized graduate education.Maintain complete and detailed records of patients' health care plans and prognoses.Develop treatment plans, based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.Provide patients with information needed to promote health, reduce risk factors, or prevent disease or disability.Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.Diagnose or treat complex, unstable, comorbid, episodic, or emergency conditions in collaboration with other health care providers as necessary.Prescribe medication dosages, routes, and frequencies, based on such patient characteristics as age and gender.
