Responsibilities Position is on a Cardiac Telemetry unit caring for adult to geriatric patients Unit features 16 beds with an average daily census of 16 and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5 Typical patient conditions include post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, peripheral vascular disease, and peritoneal dialysis cases Skills utilized include telemetry, EKG, and Doppler Uses Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR charting systems Night shift schedule (3x12 hour shifts, 19 : 00-07 : 00) Floating may be required to other Cardiac Telemetry or related units as needed No on-call requirements Must be available to work up to six weekend shifts per six-week schedule period Travelers expected to work assigned major holidays according to facility holiday policy Navy blue scrubs required First time travelers are accepted for this position Maximum of 7 days RTO may be approved, with no holiday RTO unless three holidays fall during assignment Modules required for orientation are completed as part of non-billable hours Full compliance must be completed prior to start; delayed compliance may postpone assignment start Local candidates are accepted at the same rate Requirements Active GA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 1 year recent Cardiac Telemetry experience required Certifications : BLS and ACLS required Experience with Epic EMR required Perm and PRN staff must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year before returning as a traveler Two supervisory references (manager or above) highly preferred for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-610441.
