We are seeking a full-time experienced Nurse Case Manage r interested in working with injured workers and worker’s compensation cases to cover Albuquerque and Santa Fe, NM, and surrounding areas. A Field Case Manager role is a home-based position with travel, up to 2 hours one-way (four hours round trip), to doctors’ offices, hospitals, and various other location s . This individual is responsible for the medical case management of work-related injuries, which includes assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of injured / disabled individuals. The Case Manager works with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and employees, and closely monitors the progress of the injured worker and reports results back to the employer and insurance carriers. Qualifications : Current, unencumbered registered nurse (RN) license in NM Experience in worker’s compensation catastrophic case management is preferred. Experience may include : 1) Critical care experience, catastrophic injury / illness case management, and / or disability management 2) Clinical experience in acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple trauma (including amputation), and / or burns Recommended certifications (CCM, CRRN, CDMS, CRC). REQUIRED within two years of the date of hire Ability to occasionally work outside of traditional business hours (evenings or weekends) if needed to meet the needs of the claim Skills needed : organization and timeline adherence; PC and technology; communication (written, verbal and interpersonal) Valid driver’s license, and good driving history
