  • This is a full-time role working at Colonial Gardens in Blue Springs, Missouri.
  • Hourly Range : $20.00-$24.00

About Us : Colonial Gardens, located in Blue Springs, MO, was added to our brand family in 2016. Founded in 1969, renovations began in 2017 to create an agritourism destination. It is the garden center, reimagined! We offer a greenhouse, nursery, café and coffee shop, event space, and farmer's market. It's where plants, food and farms connect. Educational classes promoting local agriculture and sustainability as well as private events are also offered.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Content Creation & Support : Proactively take photos and videos of products, departments, events, seasonal promotions, and marketing collateral. Create engaging visual content for social media, websites, and printed materials. Keep an organized collection of visual assets and post content on schedule to promote activities and attract visitors.
  • Campaign Coordination : Assist with the setup and basic execution of marketing campaigns, including scheduling posts and tracking simple engagement metrics. Support team efforts to promote campaigns and special promotions, ensuring messaging aligns with goals.
  • Marketing Efforts Coordination : Help promote in-store events, workshops, seasonal displays, and department initiatives, and marketing collateral through social media, email, and other channels. Support logistics and content gathering from departments to ensure smooth promotion and cross-promotion. Act as the point person for coordinating with outside marketing vendors to ensure campaigns and content are aligned and executed effectively.
  • Data Analytics Support : Collect data on content and campaign performance. Share insights and keep records to support ongoing improvements and future planning.

    • Essential Job Duties :

  • Capture and produce high-quality photos and videos of products, events, seasonal promotions, and marketing collateral to ensure a steady stream of visual content for marketing channels
  • Coordinate with departments to gather content and promotional materials, and marketing collateral for events, workshops, or displays, utilizing tools like Canva and Eventbrite for visual content creation and event promotion
  • Create social media posts for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, submit them for manager review, and, upon approval, schedule and publish the content using systems like HubSpot, Shopify, BigCommerce, or other relevant tools to ensure timely and coordinated campaign execution
  • Help promote in-store events and initiatives through social media, email campaigns, Google Ads, and event platforms like Eventbrite to ensure consistent messaging and outreach
  • Act as the primary point of contact for communication with outside marketing vendors, ensuring campaign content and materials, including marketing collateral, are aligned with brand standards and deadlines
  • Maintain an organized digital library of visual assets, ensuring all images and videos are labeled and stored for easy access and future use
  • Track and compile basic data on content and campaign performance using Excel, Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook) Analytics, and social media analytics tools, and share insights with the team to support ongoing improvements
  • Collect data on engagement, reach, and conversions from various platforms and campaigns, analyze trends, and prepare regular reports to inform future marketing strategies
  • Support daily marketing activities by responding promptly to content and promotional requests and ensuring timely completion of tasks across all relevant systems and platforms

    • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Required : 2+ years of experience in content creation across the following social media platforms, such as Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram
  • Required : 1+ years of experience in SEO / SEM, marketing database, email, social media platforms, and advertising campaigns
  • Preferred : Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field
  • Preferred : Working experience in HubSpot, Shoppify, Eventbrite, Canva, Meta analytics, and Google analytics
  • Preferred : Working experience and / or passion in landscaping, nursery, garden center, or a related industry
