Schedule 6 : 45 PM - 7 : 15 AM Job Description Join a 19-bed mixed CVICU / CVRU unit with a focus on critical heart care. This high-acuity unit provides care for surgical heart patients, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 2 or 1 : 1, depending on acuity. Holdover downgraded patients may have a 1 : 3 ratio. Our team includes highly trained nurses, charging nurses available to assist, and an educator to support your orientation. Responsibilities Provide critical care to patients recovering from heart surgery. Administer and monitor advanced cardiac devices including IABP, Impella, and LVADs. Perform hemodynamic assessments and frequent patient ambulation. Assist in intubation / extubation and manage chest tubes and pacer wires. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure BLS and ACLS certifications are required. 2 years of CVICU or CVRU experience is mandatory.
