About This Role Contract Specialist
We are looking for a talented Contract Specialist that has a passion for quality construction. The Contract Specialist plays a critical role in supporting contract lifecycle management across M. J. Electric's operations. This position ensures contractual compliance, mitigates legal risk, and facilitates effective coordination between internal stakeholders and external partners. Ideal candidates will bring legal training or a Juris Doctor (JD), with the ability to interpret contract law and contribute to strategic decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and service agreements in alignment with company standards and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with Quanta Legal and Risk teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide guidance on lien rights, insurance requirements, and bonding provisions.
- Monitor contract performance and support resolution of disputes or claims.
- Maintain accurate records of contract documents, amendments, and correspondence.
- Support internal teams with contract interpretation and risk assessment.
- Assist in developing contract templates and process improvements.
- Participate in training initiatives related to contract compliance and legal awareness.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field required; JD or legal training strongly preferred.Minimum 3 years of experience in contract administration, legal affairs, or construction law.Strong understanding of contract law, legal terminology, and risk mitigation strategies.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments.What You'll Get
