Job Summary
The VDC Designer III is responsible for preparing and maintaining detailed design drawings, schematics, and specifications using advanced computer-aided design (CAD) and engineering (CAE) software. This role works closely with engineers and other design professionals to resolve complex design issues and develop accurate 2D and 3D models of mechanical systems. The position involves creating, modifying, and managing part and assembly drawings based on technical sketches, plans, and verbal or written instructions. Additionally, the VDC Designer III supports the development and enforcement of drafting standards and procedures, and may assist in evaluating and recommending CAD / CAE hardware and software solutions to enhance design capabilities and project delivery.

Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Associate's Degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field is preferred.
5-7 years.
Should have basic understanding of current design software such as AutoDesk.
Working knowledge of drawing production and standard construction techniques and principles.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and through written communication
Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job
disciplines. Solves complex problems. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. May lead projects or
project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives. Acts as a
