Our Level 1, acute care hospital is licensed to treat adults and adolescents for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. Our team is dedicated to the wellness of individuals, their families, and the community through prevention, intervention and treatment. The CD Counselor is an inpatient role at the Glendale, Arizona facility and is responsible for providing Substance Abuse / Co-Occurring Disorder related clinical services to adolescent and adult in-patient clients.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients upon admission and throughout their stay
- Develop treatment plans
- Facilitate therapeutic group, individual, and family sessions
- Plan discharge aftercare
- Coordinate treatment services with community agencies
- Develop programs and therapeutic modalities to treat adult and adolescent clients receiving short term, detox, and rehab services
Requirements
Associates degree, Masters Degree preferredRequired : Substance Abuse Counselor certificate - NADAI, LASAC, LISACExperience providing mental health and substance abuse assessment, treatment planning, group therapy, discharge planning, and utilization reviewExperience working in an acute inpatient treatment setting preferredFamiliarity with 12-step and other recovery programs requiredGood organizational skills; flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced team environmentMust be 21 years of age or olderAble to pass a background check, drug screen, and meet qualifications for fingerprint clearanceJob Details
