CDL / Boom Driver

Kamco Supply Corp of New England is looking for a Full-Time CDL Truck Driver / Boom Operator who is hard working, reliable and motivated to join the Buffalo NY branch team. Candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, loading, unloading and delivery of materials to job sites and businesses and providing supervision / direction to team member on the truck with you.

Kamco Supply is a 2nd Generation owned company that started 35 years ago in 1 location in Connecticut. It has grown to 9 branches from  Buffalo NY to Cranston RI with a current fleet of 75 trucks of which 35 are boom truck and 3 are 8 story booms and over 500,000 square feet of  warehouse / showroom space.

Job Description Duties and Responsibilities may include :

• CDL A or B licensed driver
• Follows guidelines established by FMCA and DOT
• Prepares DOT required log of time on duty and driving
• Completes daily truck DOT pre-trip inspection and equipment inspection, note issues on daily trip log so repairs can be made / scheduled
• Checks, tarps or covers due to weather conditions and secures all loads.
• Drive trucks from branch to job site in a safe and timely manner.
• Operates boom or moffett to unload materials on job sites in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to repeatedly, move or lift, materials up to 115 lb with assistance
• Ability to communicate, convey directions and work effectively with a partner or other team members
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment ( ie Safety Harness as required for unloading)
• Communicate job site issues (unsafe loading conditions) with office or any questions customer may have
• Assists forklift operators when loading trucks
• Waits on customers picking up materials when truck is being loaded for next delivery
• Record any material returned on paperwork and assist in unloading material returned for credit
• Assists in good housekeeping in trucks, yard, warehouse and office.
• Assist fellow employees on deliveries as needed when directed to
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management
• Complies with Kamco Employee Handbook and Safety Policy procedures
• Complies with Kamco attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance. Reliability a must and your key to job
