As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Government in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a visible presence. You will play a key role in fostering a secure environment by offering outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activities or conditions and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and / or visitors to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
  • Document observations and security-related incidents in daily activity reports.
  • Participate in ongoing training and follow all Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possession of a valid TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A valid security-related guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
