Compensation for this role is $110K - $125K. The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.
As a Lead Engineer in Solutions Engineering at RXO, you will utilize your engineering and consulting skills to deliver customer proposals and manage engineering / consulting projects. You will identify cost-saving opportunities through rigorous data collection and analysis to enhance the client\'s supply chain operations while streamlining internal processes for the RXO account team. We will provide you with industry-leading tools to support your growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Perform research, data mining and simulations to identify and scope opportunities within the customer\'s supply chain. Provide value propositions and craft marketable solutions for clients
- Develop and identify cost savings initiatives and manage projects through implementation. Build and integrate supply chain cost models to quantify total cost of ownership opportunities and subsequent savings
- Identify, select, and deploy optimization / decision support tools to perform operations studies, routing optimization and transportation rate analyses
- Develop an understanding of customer processes to enhance cross-functional initiatives and effectively communicate / integrate solution improvements
- Communicate and collaborate on project activities with key stakeholders both internally and externally. Assist in executing process and strategy improvements related to supply chain, with a focus on transportation improvement projects
- Interact daily with internal and external customers to ensure expectations are met, collect customer requirements, and review progress
- Attend weekly meetings to keep functional leads, management, and stakeholders updated on current projects and timelines
- Provide training and guidance on logistics processes and cost management for assigned projects
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent related work or military experience4 years of experience in one or more key functional areas : supply chain management, logistics, decision support systems / technology, transportation management and distribution or procurement functional responsibilitiesExperience data mining and generating simulations in Microsoft BI, Access, and Excel to identify and scope opportunities within the customer\'s supply chainTransportation and network modeling experienceStrong project management skillsNice to Have
Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial EngineeringMaster\'s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial EngineeringExperience with Supply Chain Guru, Appian, any Logistix or data modelingExperience in multiple logistics-related systems and transportation management systemsLean six sigma experienceExperience collecting and analyzing data for modeling, network optimization and / or transportation redesign purposesExperience preparing and delivering presentationsStrong organizational and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholdersBenefits
