Emergency Medicine Physician

Locum Emergency Medicine Physician needed starting as soon as credentialed near Fort Wayne, IN.

• Shifts needed per Month : 8-12 per Provider
• Minimum Shifts Required : 6 Shifts per Month
• Flexible Scheduling; Your individualized schedule is created with physician input based on shift availability and your personalized needs.
• Available Shift Times : 6a-6p, 6p-6a, or 7a-7p, 7p-6a
• Practice Setting : Hospital (will be credentialed at 6 locations 1 credentialing process)
• Patients Per Day : 30-50 Depending on Location
• Annual Volume : Average of 10,000-23,000 annual patient visits per emergency department
• Trauma Level : All locations are level III
• Patient population / age : All ages
• EMR : EPIC
• Experience Required : 2 Years Minimum
• Skills required : Physician will manage multiple patients both with serious and non-serious illnesses and injuries including heart attacks, stroke, motor vehicle accidents, severe infections, and pneumonia, and perform assessments, diagnostic procedures, and medical treatments as needed to resuscitate or stabilize patients and refer them to the appropriate medical departments.
• Support staff : APPs
• 24-hour hospitalist coverage for admissions, 24-hour real-time Radiology reading of all studies, 24-hour in-house X ray and CT
• Certification Requirements : BC / BE accepted EM, FM (ABPS also accepted), ATLS, ACLS, PALS
• Credentialing Timeframe : Approximately 60days
• $500 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
