Schedule Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM Job Description Functioning within the Health System's mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his / her shift. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria, making judgments based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN / PCT and Unit Secretaries. Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Provide pre- and post-operative care for cardiac patients. Manage chest tubes and other drains, including assisting with removal. Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes appropriately. Assist in the management of temporary pacers and non-invasive ventilation devices. Educate and direct non-RN staff in patient care practices. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 2 years of experience in a similar role - Required Chest tube and drain management experience - Required Post-operative open heart care experience - Required Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips - Required Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities - Required BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) - Required Critical care experience - Highly preferred Ability to float to all units within skill level - Required Why ARMStaffing?
