Strong communication and teamwork skills; capable of collaborating across disciplines. Electrical Power Systems Engineer – Substation Design & Energy Projects
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join a leading team specializing in capital projects for the energy sector. This role focuses on designing and upgrading electrical substations — including new builds, renovations, and expansions — for medium-voltage systems up to 34.5kV.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and oversee the preparation of engineering deliverables for complex substation projects
- Design and analyze electrical one-line diagrams, protection and control systems, relay panels, and grounding systems
- Perform protective device coordination, short circuit, arc flash, and harmonic analysis using advanced modeling tools.
- Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure high-quality, compliant, and efficient project execution.
- Support SCADA system integration , substation protection upgrades, and system reliability improvements.
- Conduct field investigations and participate in quality control reviews to validate designs.
