An esteemed organization is seeking a senior transplant surgeon to serve as Surgical Director of Liver Transplantation. This is a great time to step into an established and reputable entity with strong financial and leadership support, and influence the future of a busy transplant program.

The Medical Director will oversee an established transplant program that offers liver, kidney, pancreas, and living donor transplants, as well as hepatobiliary surgery.

Qualifications :

  • More than 10 years post-fellowship experience in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery.
  • Board-certified in General Surgery.
  • Fellowship trained in an ASTS-accredited abdominal transplant fellowship.
  • Must meet OPTN / UNOS certification for primary liver transplant surgeons.

Responsibilities :

  • Ensure excellent patient outcomes and program growth.
  • Maintain compliance with UNOS and OPTN regulations.
  • Build relationships with internal teams and community partners.
  • Supervise advanced practice providers.
  • Train medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in clinical and translational research.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
