Job Summary

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned campus buildings.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and locker rooms
• Restocking supplies
• Removing trash from assigned areas daily
• Removing recycling from assigned areas weekly or as needed
• Reporting all mechanical needs to supervisor
• Cleaning offices
• Cleaning common areas
• Cleaning exterior exits doorways and matting
• Washing windows
• Vacuuming and dust mopping floors
• Shampooing carpets and stripping and waxing tile floors
• Operating various floor cleaning equipment
• Moving furniture
• Setting up and breaking down campus events
• Unloading and inventorying cleaning supplies
• Keeping closets and carts neat, orderly and well stocked
• Custodians are required to unlock all exterior doors by 7 : 00am Monday through Friday
• Custodians are required to unlock office or mechanical room doors for faculty, staff, contractors, and any other people upon the request of the supervisor or the director
• Performing related duties
