About The Position

Title : Certified Surgical Technologist – CVOR Tech

Location : Columbus, OH

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift – Mix of 5x8-Hour (06 : 30 – 15 : 00) and 2x12-Hour (10 : 30 – 23 : 00)

Call Requirement : Yes – flexible scheduling with call coverage as needed

Job Responsibilities :

Scrub in and assist during complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacements, EVAR, TEVAR, and VAD implantations.

Maintain sterile technique and ensure all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly handled and available.

Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe operation flow in the CVOR.

Perform instrument reprocessing and equipment documentation specific to cardiovascular / thoracic procedures.

Assist with case cart preparation, crash cart readiness, and handling of high-risk instruments and supplies.

Follow universal protocols, aseptic technique, and safety guidelines in a high-acuity OR environment.

Required Skills & Experience :

5+ years total Certified Surgical Tech (CST) experience

Minimum 2 years of dedicated experience in cardiac and vascular surgery

1 year of recent CVOR experience

1 year experience working in a Level I Trauma facility

Experience in cardiovascular / thoracic instrument processing

Proficient with procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, TEVAR / EVAR, and general vascular surgeries

Experience using EPIC charting system (required)

Ability to work flexible shifts and take call as scheduled
