Family Law Attorney

Our law firm is seeking a Family Attorney who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including Divorce, Legitimation, child custody, and child support issues. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior associates and litigation associates on legal issues and will provide legal counsel to existing clients. You'll also be responsible for performing legal research, drafting documents, and keeping client files up to date. Responsibilities :

• Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases
• Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
• Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
• Represent clients in court proceedings as needed
• Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process Qualifications :
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
• At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary
• 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position
• Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case Compensation : $75,000 - $100,000 yearly
