The University of Miami / UHealth department of Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Sr. Shipping & Receiving Clerk to work at the UHealth Medical Campus. The Sr. Shipping & Receiving Clerk performs manual labor necessary for the efficient operation of Moving, Shipping and Receiving operations. Individual must be able to move offices, lab furniture and equipment. Must be able to perform special events setup and dismantling for all branches (Medical, Coral Gables, RSMAS) including satellite locations (Deerfield, Palm Beach, Boca, Gables One, Weston and Kendall).

Responsibilities include :

• Contacts appropriate staff or department to verify order or shipment requirements.
• Schedules outbound shipments, coordinating pickup times with trucking companies to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensures appropriate paperwork is completed and accompanies each shipment.
• Confirms exceptions and unusual deliveries, and tracks orders back to originator internally to verify.
• Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
• Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes.
• Communicates shipment schedule changes tactfully and adjusts shipping forecasts.
• Logs and tracks vendor non-compliances, such as short shipments, incorrect shipments, and early or late shipments.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets
