TB Industrial operates both as a self-performing general contractor and as a key teaming subcontractor. We serve clients in the private sector midstream and downstream oil & gas markets, airports and FBO’s, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Energy.

  • Job Summary :

    • The Industrial Painter will be responsible for setting up industrial coatings equipment and building containments. They will prepare surface preparation and painting tasks in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer's guidelines and AMMP requirements. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Key Responsibilities :
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Perform surface preparation using industrial materials and machinery.
  • Abrasive blasting with high pressure hoses / nozzles and other tools.
  • Perform a variety of routine, non-machine tasks, such as installing and removing containment systems / tarps, rigid containment, erecting scaffolding, fall protection systems, and safety barriers.
  • Mixing and applying coatings using hand and power tools
  • Apply coatings using plural, conventional, and airless spray equipment, brushes, and rollers
  • Lifting, carrying, and holding building materials, tools, and supplies
  • Operate machinery such as tele- handlers / forklifts, aerial boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other power tools / equipment
  • Work at heights
  • Work in tight and / or confined spaces
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate projects and ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing regular maintenance as needed.
  • Qualifications :
  • 2+ years in industrial painting.
  • Able to pass a background check to gain access to client job sites such as military bases.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Working knowledge of industrial coatings equipment
  • Physically stand or walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for long periods
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing 50 to 125 pounds
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Climb up and down ladders, stair towers, and scaffolds
  • Have the visual and hearing capacity to perform work without harm to self or others
  • Able to work productively in heat index exposure above 100 ̊ F
  • Must be able to work productively at temperatures below freezing.
  • Using / wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to full body harness, personal flotation device, tyvek coveralls, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
  • Must have the mental capacity / skill to attain and retain certifications related to the coatings industry.
  • Work away from primary residence for long periods of time
  • Preferred Qualifications :
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction
  • AMPP Coating Application Specialist (CAS) Level II
