PCBA Manufacturing Engineer – North Kingstown, RI

Salary : North Kingstown, RI $81,717.00-$102,146.00

We're looking for a PCBA Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll support electronics production, focusing on PCB assembly, SMT, and conformal coating for both new and existing products. You'll work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Support day-to-day PCBA manufacturing operations to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams to support daily operations.
  • Lead and participate in projects to improve yield, reduce costs, and strengthen processes.
  • Support new equipment and technology projects for PCBA products.
  • Work with design and test engineering to maintain quality throughout a product's life cycle.
  • Develop processes for new products and ensure projects stay on track.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Six Sigma tools.
  • Guide and support PCBA technicians in daily tasks.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master's or MBA is a plus).
  • 2–5 years of experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering with electronics.
  • Strong skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Access) and CAD software.
  • Experience with PCB assembly equipment and processes (stencil printing, SMT placement, soldering, inspection, conformal coating).
  • Knowledge of SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and advanced packaging (SIP, BGA, flip chips, lead-free soldering) is a plus.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve problems.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Requires standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands for tasks.
  • Work environment may include moderate noise and moving machinery parts.
