Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including counselors, spiritual mentors, and medical professionals. Active listening skills to understand resident concerns and provide appropriate care. Skilled in de-escalation techniques to manage behavioral health crises. Monitor and assess patients physical and emotional well-being during detox and recovery. Administer medications, including detox protocols and prescribed treatments, while ensuring compliance with medical and program guidelines. Conduct routine health assessments, including vital signs monitoring and symptom evaluation. Recognize and respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies, providing appropriate interventions. Ensure accurate documentation of all treatments, medications, and patient observations in accordance with state and facility policies. Maintain proper inventory and secure storage of medications. Educate residents on prescribed medications, detox processes, and overall wellness strategies. Ensure adherence to infection control, HIPAA, and state regulations. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized medical area. Participate in staff training and development to enhance care quality and program effectiveness. Work effectively with culturally diverse population and be sensitive to the needs of each population. Able to lift up to 30 pounds. Physically able to walk, stand, and stoop for several hours each day. Employee travels by automobile and is exposed to changing weather conditions. Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary
Adult & Teen Challenge of Arkansas is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide medical support for individuals overcoming substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges. The LPN will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of residents throughout the detox and recovery process, working within a faith-based treatment environment. The Licensed Practical Nurse will report to the Clinical Director.
Qualifications :
- Passion for faith-based addiction recovery and alignment with the mission of Adult & Teen Challenge.
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
- Current and active LPN license in Arkansas.
- BLS / CPR certification required; IV Certification preferred.
- Prior experience in addiction recovery, detox, behavioral health, or a faith-based healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, compassionate communication, and the ability to work in a faith-driven recovery environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.
- Must have and maintain a valid Drivers License, maintain automobile insurance coverage and have access to an automobile.
- Must be able to pass drug and nicotine test.
