Come join our team and open the door to an amazing career at PDQ Door Company! We have an immediate need for a Warehouse Associate at our Hampden, ME location.

PDQ Door Company is Maines leading provider for garage doors, dock equipment, automatic pedestrian doors, and more! With branches in Hampden, Rockport, West Bath, Waterville, Houlton, and Presque Isle, we are able to provide superior service to the entire state of Maine.

Summary

In the role of Warehouse Associate , you will perform an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock & assigned job materials; picking and filling orders from stock; and managing, organizing & receiving stock. Prior experience is not a prerequisite, as we provide thorough on-the-job training.

Duties

  • Properly loading and unloading shipments
  • Maintaining a neat and organized warehouse, including sweeping floors and removing trash
  • Preparing customer furnish-only orders for pick-up and delivery
  • Preparing orders for outgoing installation and maintenance
  • Maintaining inventory tracking
  • Warehouse stocking
  • Communicating with team members to meet our customers expectations
  • Maintain safe, secure and healthy work environment
  • Assisting operations staff with various job and tasks as needed
  • Perform light building maintenance tasks (painting, assembling shelves, etc.) as needed
  • Operate a forklift on a regular basis

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid Drivers License
  • Must have an acceptable MVR to be added to our auto insurance policy.
  • Must have dependable, reliable transportation to and from your base office location.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in warehousing or inventory management
  • Previous forklift experience or certification
  • Basic knowledge of construction, hand tools, and / or electrical
  • Mechanical Inclination

    • Work Conditions

  • Partially climate-controlled warehouse setting, with potential of working in all weather conditions.
  • Frequently walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Occasionally working at heights with appropriate safety equipment / machinery
