Receiving Clerk - Margaritaville Beach Resort

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accepting and processing deliveries, including but not limited to verifying delivered items, unloading trucks, ensuring items are stored correctly, and processing all returns. To succeed as a receiving clerk, you should be able to inspect deliveries with great attention and detail, be in good physical condition, and move heavy items. Ultimately, a top receiving clerk should be able to ensure efficient receiving processes and promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Compare purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists to ensure accuracy and completeness of orders, verifying that the received items match specified criteria and quantities.
- Inspect deliveries upon arrival to confirm conformity with order and invoice specifications, including quality, quantity, and condition of goods.
- Receive deliveries and sign relevant documentation to acknowledge receipt and acceptance of items.
- Unload deliveries from trucks safely and efficiently, transferring items to designated storage areas with proper handling techniques.
- Process returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items according to established procedures, documenting reasons for return and coordinating with vendors for replacement or refund.
- Organize and store received items in appropriate locations within the inventory storage area, ensuring systematic arrangement for easy retrieval and access.
- Update inventory records promptly and accurately to reflect receipt of new items and maintain inventory levels up to date.
- Communicate with vendors regarding any delays, discrepancies, or issues with deliveries, collaborating to resolve problems and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain detailed records of orders, delivery details, returns, and any related documentation, facilitating accurate tracking and reporting of procurement activities.
- Undertake special projects and assignments as directed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to contribute to departmental objectives and organizational goals.
What you will bring :
High school diploma / GED.Previous warehouse experience.Good communication and organizational skills.Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations.Physical dexterity and experience operating forklifts.Computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs.Basic math skills.Bilingual is a plus.About TPI Hospitality :
