Job Title : Infrastructure Operations Engineer

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Infrastructure Operations Engineer, focusing on maintaining and optimizing a high availability environment. You will be responsible for Linux systems administration, virtualization, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Your expertise will extend to hands-on enterprise server and storage solutions. A strong understanding of networking, system security, and monitoring tools is essential, along with excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and build out a Kubernetes cluster, ensuring optimization, documentation, and maintenance.
  • Set up a virtualization cluster using Proxmox, moving away from VMware.
  • Assist in establishing server infrastructure for a new launch facility, building upon the existing IT infrastructure.
  • Create, update, and maintain SOP and knowledge-based documentation for software deployment and imaging.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Kubernetes for deploying and maintaining clusters.
  • Experience with Linux, particularly Ubuntu, and integrating Linux servers with Active Directory.
  • Expertise in virtualization technologies, specifically Proxmox.
  • Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or Ansible.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure operations.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, but relevant experience is prioritized over formal education.
  • Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Park, Texas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00 / hr.
