Commercial Delivery Driver (Fort Wayne)

Job Description This role involves driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes for the purpose of delivering food and related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

The driver is responsible for inspecting the tractor / truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, ensuring they meet company safety standards. Additionally, the driver must report all safety issues and / or repairs required.

Key Responsibilities :

Communicate with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally to ensure accurate and timely responses to inquiries.

Function as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Perform all required safety checks, including pre / post trip inspections of tractor / truck and trailer according to DOT regulations.

Report all safety hazards and follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications :

Education :

High School Diploma / GED or equivalent.

Experience :

6+ months of commercial driving experience.

Licenses / Certifications :

Valid CDL-A license.

Meet all State licensing and / or certification requirements (where applicable).
