Overview

Scarsdale Publishing seeks experienced English to Spanish fiction editors for ongoing fiction projects. Editors must be self-starters who can work remotely and meet deadlines. Must have experience in editing Spanish fiction. This is a long-term freelance position for suitable candidates to work from home.

Responsibilities

  • Read through original material and edit for accuracy in Spanish.
  • Use specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used.
  • Proficient in Word.
  • Work closely with Managing Editor.
  • Provide a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text, as a word-processed document.

Qualifications

  • Must be fluent in English and target language.
  • Excellent writing skills and command of grammar.
  • Attention to detail combined with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated.

    • If you are selected, you will be required to complete one mandatory translation test.
