Description

Monday - Friday with On-Call Coverage Apartment Treatment Program Our Residential Services Programs receive referrals from County SPOA (Single Point of Access) of adult individuals who are experiencing significant mental health difficulties, who require additional temporary supports of our program in order to learn skills which will enable the resident to live more independently in the community.

Position Summary

The Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations, staff, service or function assigned.

Specific Functions

  • Oversees the referral process of patients from SPOA to the program, including reviewing referrals, scheduling visits with potential residents, attending weekly SPOA meetings, conducting intakes into the program).
  • Orientation and supervision of Residential staff in the program, including completion of staff annual performance evaluations.
  • Shares after hours On-Call with other appropriate Residential Services staff.
  • Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills.
  • Oversees staff assignments and work schedule.
  • Participates in staff interviewing process.
  • Monitors and audits all documentation.
  • Completes all program-related information (i.e. billing, OMH, monthly expense report).
  • Understands Medicaid, OMH and St. Joseph's regulations.
  • Provides documentation with OMH to certify and decertify apartments in the program.
  • Maintains working relationship with landlords of Apartment Complex.
  • Maintains program vehicles.
  • Completes work orders for needed building repairs (Community Residence with hospital facilities, Apartment Program with landlord).

Education, Training, Experience, Certification and Licensure

Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline with three years progressive experience in the field. Advanced degree is a plus / requirement, depending on specific service needs and / or requirements. Ideally the candidate will have some supervisory experience. Or, AAS degree in appropriate discipline with three years progressive experience in the field will be considered based on specific department needs and / or requirements. Or, high school graduate with a minimum of six years progressive experience in the field and additional supervisory training based on specific service need. Certification / licensure as required by regulatory agency. Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise. Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and services.

Special Equipment, Skills or Other Requirements

Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal, motivational and conflict resolution skills. Strong participatory management, team building and administrative skills. Broad based knowledge of related regulatory compliance requirements.

Work Environment and Hazards

Exposure Class I or II, service specific limited exposure to situation which could cause serious illness or injury (II), routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions (I).

Physical Demands

Medium work : Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, push and pull.

Pay Range : $24.15 - 33.95

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
