Job Description
What you will be doing :
Provide daily athletic training services to student-athletes participating in CHSAA athletics.Manage the concussion management program including education, prevention program, evaluation, documentation, referrals, management, protocol updates, return to play progression, and communication.Communicate with athletes, parents, medical director, healthcare professionals, school staff, and administrators (HIPAA and FERPA compliant).Provide athletic training coverage for outreach programs as needed and scheduled by the Director of Athletic Training, which may include evenings, weekends, and holiday coverage.Deliver patient-centered care to athletes / participants according to all policies and procedures outlined in the athletic training handbook and organizational policies.Ensure effective and timely communication with other staff athletic trainers, physical therapists, patients' families, and organizations regarding injuries and treatments.Conduct community-based lectures on a variety of sports medicine topics.Develop, implement, manage, and mentor the student athletic training program.Maintain and organize documentation related to past medical history, pre-participation physicals, emergency contacts, and injury tracking software.Report injuries and collect data both internally and externally using appropriate communication channels in compliance with national and international regulations.Create and maintain emergency action plans at all events and venues.Organize and lead interdisciplinary team meetings concentrating on individualized health, safety, and progression of athletes.Experience you will need :
Master’s degree in athletic training or a related field, highly preferred.BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, in good standing.Current Colorado state licensed athletic trainer, valid with DORA, or the ability to obtain license prior to the start date.CPR / BLS for healthcare provider certification.SafeSport Certification (Core Training and Health Professional).Experience with concussion management and maintaining compliance with related regulations.FMS Level-1 and NASM-PES or NSCA-CSCS, highly preferred.Prior experience working with elite athletes preferred.Our client asked me to submit 3 great people within the next few days.
