The City of Beloit has an exciting professional opportunity available as the Wastewater Operations and Maintenance Supervisor in the Water Resources Division of the Public Works Department.

This is a managerial position directly responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance activities at the Water Pollution Control Facilities (WPCF) and pump stations to assure WI DNR / EPA permit compliance. The individual is also directly responsible for the Biosolids recycling program to assure state and federal compliance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. Must possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

2. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B endorsement preferred.

3. Certification as a Wisconsin Wastewater Advanced Operator, in all relevant subclasses, from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) required.

4. Two-year Associates degree from an accredited college in wastewater treatment, biology, chemistry, engineering and / or environmental sciences.

5. Four (4) years of wastewater treatment and three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred.

6. Other combinations of training and / or experience which can be demonstrated to result in the possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position will also be considered.

The posted salary of this position includes the base salary and additional on-call pay.
