Med / Surg RN Job Details – Bridgeton, NJ

Job Title : Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel / Locum Tenens

Location : Bridgeton, NJ 08302 (New Jersey healthcare jobs)

Facility Type : Correctional Facility

Shift : 8-hour night shifts (11 : 00 pm – 7 : 30 am), every other weekend, rotating Monday & Friday

Hours : 40 hours per week (guaranteed)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 27 / 2025 – End : 1 / 24 / 2026)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,810 – $1,950

Employment Type : Travel Nurse, Locum Tenens

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey

At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience (medical surgical nurse experience preferred)

Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and rotating schedules

Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to adult patients in a correctional healthcare setting

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress in accordance with nursing standards

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Support patients with detox, mental health, and medical / surgical needs

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records

Promote a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff within the correctional facility
