job_description.job_card.job_descriptionInspect facilities and grounds for custodial needs such as cleaning, repairs, maintenance, and supplies. Inspect work of assigned custodians, and provide lead-worker guidance, training, and direction as needed. Dust, polish, move, and arrange furniture. Sweep, mop, wax, and polish floors. Clean and wash windows and mirrors. Clean restrooms and replace supplies. Empty garbage cans and wastebaskets. Perform minor repairs and maintenance of cleaning equipment. Report requirements for major repairs, adjustments, or replacements. Inventory, order, and replenish paper products, cleaning supplies, and related equipment. Open and secure facilities, common areas, and grounds as directed. Perform other related duties as required. Knowledge of cleaning supplies, products, and equipment. Knowledge of safety procedures for use of cleaning supplies, products, and equipment. Ability to provide effective guidance, training, and direction to other custodians. Ability to plan, organize, and supervise the work of others. Ability to work effectively with others. Ability to prepare and maintain records, logs, lists, and reports. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Physical Requirements : walk, stand for long periods, kneel, crouch, and work outside in a subtropical climate under adverse weather. Exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 30 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly to move objects. Work Category : Medium Work. Completion of tenth grade. One year of experience in custodial duties. Ability to pass required background checks (criminal history, child abuse, sex offender record checks). Possession of necessary job‑related license(s) or certification(s), such as a Florida Driver License (Class E) or applicable Commercial Driver License (CDL). Maintain the ability to pass all required background checks. Possess necessary job‑related license(s) or certification(s). Career progression : Employees who acquire the competencies and minimum qualifications for the next tier may apply for promotional opportunities through a competitive selection process. Promotion is not automatic and depends on business need and financial impact.
