Position : Nurse Practitioner – Internal Medicine

Location : Washington, D.C.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a background in internal medicine and a genuine interest in developing long-term, trust-based patient relationships.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys a personalized care model, thrives in a slower-paced environment, and values quality over volume.

Core Responsibilities

In partnership with our internal medicine physician, the Nurse Practitioner will :

Deliver comprehensive care through in-depth evaluations (routine, urgent, and follow-up visits)

Diagnose and treat common acute conditions such as infections, minor injuries, and dermatological concerns

Manage chronic health issues like hypertension, diabetes, and lipid disorders

Provide both telehealth and in-person consultations

Handle lab reviews, prescription management, and patient communications

Coordinate care with specialists and assist in navigating referrals

Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, phlebotomy, vaccinations, and basic procedures

Educate patients on long-term wellness strategies and lifestyle modifications

Participate in occasional home visits or after-hours care (optional and flexible)

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted NP license in Washington, D.C.

Board certification as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner

At least 2 years of clinical experience in internal medicine or primary care

Comfortable working autonomously, yet values team collaboration

Proficient in using electronic medical records (e.g., Elation, eClinicalWorks, Athena)

A patient-first mindset with a focus on empathy, service, and clinical excellence
