Description :
Reporting to the Service Center Manager, the Service Tech will have responsibilities including, but not limited to, addressing higher level technical questions with resolution, disassembly / assembly of all Pinnacle Industries Ltd. products, and electromechanically testing equipment. The technician will be expected to interact with colleagues, customers, and suppliers in a professional manner, maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, and perform duties in a timely and accurate way.
Essential Functions Statement
- Assist with the implementing and maintaining lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste.
- Work autonomously to achieve objectives.
- Clean industrial equipment using cold dip parts cleaner, hot dip parts cleaner, high pressure parts washer, bead blaster, and sand blaster.
- Assemble crates and product packaging for shipping equipment and parts.
- Perform routing preventive maintenance on shop equipment.
- Assist with warehouse inventory and shipping functions as needed or directed.
- Ability to safely and productively operate material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, battery powered pallet jacks, etc.
- Presentation of parts for assembly in a standardized format using boards, tables, and / or carts according to established procedures.
- Assembly and Disassembly of all Pinnacle Industries Ltd. products and prepare documentation for estimation.
- Wire and test equipment in accordance with Pinnacle Industries Ltd.'s Electrical Safe Work Practices policy while wearing proper cotton and arc rated clothing.
- Use company vehicle to drop off and pick up parts and supplies from local vendors such as machine shops and coaters - requires a valid driver's license with driver history at an acceptable level to Pinnacle Industries Ltd. insurance standards.
- Travel, as required, to support field service activities.
Requirements : Education :
AS or AAS degree from a 2-year college or technical school or 4 years related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience :
At least 18 months of relative experience in an industrial or manufacturing environmentPrevious electrical experience with single and three phase power distribution systems and controlsPrevious industrial powered forklift experience preferred but not requiredComputer Skills :
Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software.Certificates & Licenses :
Valid driver's license must be maintained throughout employment.Other Requirements :
Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate both orally and in writing in English.Ability to troubleshoot electromechanical systems, follow instructions in mathematical or diagram formUnderstanding and ability to use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, torque wrenches, depth gages, bore gages, vacuum gages, ampere meters, and infrared temperature gages.WORK ENVIRONMENT : Moderate noise level, moderately controlled manufacturing environment, moderate exposure to dust, and occasional ladder use
